Performance and Results of the First Semester of 2019

The financial performance and results for both the Company and the Group during the First Semester of 2019, compared to the respective period of the previous year (First Semester of 2018) are summarized below:

 

a) Consolidated Group turnover amounted to 45,202 mil. Euros, as compared to 41,841 mil. Euros posting a percentage increase of 8,03% and Company's turnover to 39,819 mil. Euros as compared to 36,595 mil. Euros, posting a percentage increase of 8,81%.

b) Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) amounted at Group level to 7,555 mil. Euros as compared to 7,743 mil. Euros, decreased by 2,43% and at Company's level to 7,341 mil. Euros as compared to 7,392 mil. Euros, posting an decrease of 0,69%.

c) Earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted for the Group to 4,958 mil. Euros, as compared to 5,387 mil. Euros decreased by 7,96% and for the Company to 5,198 mil. Euros as compared to 5,815 mil. Euros, decreased by 10,61%.

d) Earnings After Taxes (EAT) amounted for the Group to 3,496 mil. Euros as compared to 3,582 mil. Euros decreased by 2,40% and for the Company to 3,792 mil. Euros as compared to 4,102 mil. Euros, decreased by 7,56%.
