According to formal figures the quarter of January to March of 2000, the production of premiums has summed up to the amount of 7,222 billion drachmas against the amount of 5,925 billion drachmas that has been attained within the respective quarter of 1999; therefore, an increase of 22% has been achieved.The increase in premiums production has been resulted by the policy that the company applies of drawing networks through the free market and of developing new products that respond to consumers' needs.Presently, the new products, plans on automobiles and fire fields, are being promoted successfully, while the new plan on athletes' insurance will be released very soon. The materialization of the company investment plan has been steadily developing, while until today the following have been achieved:1. The building, found in 173 Syngrou Avenue and built in a piece of land of 4.000 squared meters and of worth of 4 billion drachmas, has been bought together with Life Agrotiki. Each company owns the half. Therefore, the Building of the two insurance companies of the Group will be built in the area of 28.000 m2 from which the area of 14.000 m2 will be an underground parking.2. Three new regional branches have been established, two of which have been built in privately owned areas.3. The upgrade of the Company electronic data processing system, complied with international standards, will be completed soon. Presently, it is being in the stage of testing.4. The business plans and the articles of association of the common Company of the two Companies (Agricultural Insurance and Life Agrotiki) in Romania have been also completed.5. The company has also listed the stock capital of four investments portfolio companies.Meanwhile, the company develops, in fast pace, the participation plan of the two insurance companies in the field of health administration, in the expansion of the already existing similar TCN Company, while the plan of the branch inauguration in Germany of the two companies will be completed within the next four-month period.
