ATHEX is launching Approved Publication Arrangement (APA) and Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM) services for enhanced trade publication and transaction reporting!

APA@ATHEX can help you meet the publication requirements for OTC transactions

What is the APA @ATHEX?

MiFID II introduces a requirement for all investment firms to publish trades in financial instruments executed OTC, i.e. outside the rules of a trading venue. This requirement was initially introduced for shares in 2007 but will be extended to cover all asset classes with the introduction of MiFID II in January 2018.

The Approved Publication Arrangement (APA) provides the service of publishing trade reports on behalf of investment firms pursuant to Articles 20 and 21 of MiFIR. Also the APA, in addition, may provide the service of publishing Systematic Internalizers Quotes, according to MiFID II/MiFIR chapter III.

APAs are authorized and supervised by the Competent Authority (CA) of their home Member State. For Greece the CA is the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC).

APA@ATHEX will support firms in meeting their pre- and post-trade transparency responsibility to report trades to the market, and Systematic Internalisers (SIs), who must report both quotes and trades.

Using the ATHEX solution, ATHEX's members and non-members will be able to manage their own publication activity related to their Trade Reporting obligation.
