Shareholder’s update for the 9 months of 2021 Group sales performance
Traditionally, at the beginning of the last quarter of every year, the JUMBO mechanism is totally ready and excited to meet the increasing demand of the festive season. During the last quarter of every year -usually- the JUMBO Group realizes the 35% of its annual turnover. However:
- The situation at the supply chain often becomes chaotic rather than be resolved.
- The cost of energy continue to rise.
- Raw materials and transportation costs are kept at historically unacceptable levels.
The problem becomes more intense, in Balkan countries where the disposable income is traditionally low.
In addition, as we are heading to the winter season, the Covid-19 cases in some areas are increasing, leading the authorities to take measures locally. It should be noted that in countries of the Balkan area where the Group operates, mobility restrictions have been applied for the first time this year, something that did not happen extensively in 2020.
For the JUMBO Group, consumers continue to provide their vote of confidence daily and in combination with the very positive performance of the back to school season in Greece and in Cyprus, the Group's sales reiterated their positive trend.

- For the nine months of the year (January- September 2021), the total sales of the Group were increased by approximately +8% compared to last year's corresponding period.
